Graphic comments

Answer

Do you own ChessBase,Fritz or one of our other chess programs? If yes, then you will surely appreciate the numerous commenting functions. Within the notation you can insert not only variants, texts, comment symbols. You can also illustrate certain material or power constellations with the help of graphic comments on the chess board. ChessBase and our chess programs support this form of commenting with differently colored arrows or squares, which the editor of the game notation can place on the board according to your taste.

Note: Graphic comments on the chessboard are indicated by a small colored circle inside the notation.

This form of commenting is also extremely helpful when presenting in the context of videos. The operation and adding of the graphical comments on the board is very simple. For example, pressing the ALT key and clicking the mouse on a field puts a green marker on the board.

Note: you can remove a marker by clicking on the field again.

Red marked fields you set with the key combination Alt+Shift (both keys at the same time) and click on the field.

Yellow marked fields can be set with the ALT+CTRL key combination.

Note: there are three different color markers -> yellow, red and green. All key combinations start with the ALT key. Either alone or in combination with the Ctrl or Shift key.

Besides the color marking of fields, you can use graphic differently colored arrows as a second element. The procedure for color selection is exactly the same, you draw the arrow with the mouse button pressed.

"Practice makes perfect", so we recommend that you spend a few minutes with the function. You will find that the graphic annotation is very easy to implement.
