Error Message Entry Point Not Found

Question: After I have installed Fritz 18 and want to start it, the following error message occurs:

„The procedure entry point D3D12SerializeVersioneRootSignature could not be located in the dynamic link library C:/Program Files/ChessProgram18/ChessProgram18.exe“

The program does not start. How can I solve this problem and start the program?

Answer: This error message occurs when the computer does not have all the latest Windows updates installed. As part of Windows updates, many system files are updated, the program assumes that the latest versions of the system files are installed. After updating the operating system, the message does not appear.
