Complete repertoires

Answer

To simplify building your own repertoire, Fritz comes with a set of ready-made opening repertoires. They are divided into White and Black and into four different levels, which vary in complexity with the classification "Simple" to "Professional".

You can view the repertoires via the Opening - Standard Repertoires button.

Now you can view the existing repertoires and, if necessary, adopt the variants that are relevant to your own repertoire.  You can now choose the repertoire that suits you - White/Black/Level.

Let's look at the presentation based on the overview in the Queen's Gambit. First the presentation of the repertoire for the beginner.

Alternatively, the overview for the strong tournament player.

This repertoire can be edited, extended and refined. For example, you can upload it to your existing repertoire with "My moves".

You can let the repertoire play automatically and check your knowledge with the drill. In addition, you can expand the repertoire step by step, the various editing functions are described in detail in the documentation.

Tip: Always consistently create backup copies of your edited repertoires! After opening the repertoire - with Load White/Load Black - you can save it in a database of your choice at any time. Click on "File" -> "Save" or on "File" -> "Save As" and choose the database of your choice, which you want to save as a backup of your repertoire locally on your hard disk.

Of course, you can delete variants or certain continuations from your repertoire. Load your repertoire and make sure that the "My moves" tab is selected. Now mark the first move of the line you want to delete:

Alternatively, you can also completely rebuild a repertoire. To do this, simply load your repertoire under My Moves, mark the first move and now select the function "Delete Rest" . If you now upload the empty repertoire, the old repertoire is deleted. Note that you are always on the safe side if you create a backup copy of the existing repertoire - as described above.
