Problems searching for duplicates

Question: I am a recent owner of Chessbase 16 and I have problems with the removal of duplicate games.  In the attached database the program does not find the duplicate games. I want to use the function "Find -> Double games" to remove the duplicates, but this does not succeed, although many games are clearly identical.

What could be the cause of the problem?

Answer: We are confronted with this description from time to time. If all games of the database are annotated, one of the options for handling annotated games MUST be activated in the search dialog.

For example, if the user activates the option "Delete annotated games" and all other settings are identical ( i.e. sharpest mode ), the program reliably finds the duplicates present in the database.
