Question: I bought the Fritz 17 program. When I want to watch the training courses with the videos, the Fritz 17 screen appears briefly with the chessboard, the notation and the MediaPlayer window. Shortly after that the program closes automatically without any message or hint. What could be the cause of this?
Answer: you can use the video content of the chess course with any of our programs, including Fritz 17, ChessBase 16 or the current version of ChessBase Reader. This problem can occur if two graphics cards are installed in one computer. For example, if an internal graphics card is installed in addition to the Nvidia one, the described behavior may occur. Usually, the computer is set up in such a way that it automatically assigns the Nvidia high-performance processor as graphics processor to every installed program. So also Fritz 17 and the CBReader.
If you switch to using the internal graphics card, playing the videos should work.
