Sharing games – an example from Live Database

Answer

Live Database gives you access to the complete archive of the history of chess! The bandwidth stretches from the first recorded games in chess history all the way to recent tournament practice. All that is needed to get this information is simply a ChessBase Account and a computer (even a mobile device) with an up-to-date browser. The Live Database is updated on a weekly basis with new games from current tournament practice. You do not have direct access to these additions, but the recent games are available on inputting the search criterion “Date”.

With the help of the contents it is not only possible to study theory, but there is also direct access to the most beautiful brilliances of tournament chess.

What is really great is the possibility of direct access to the analyses of other users when you are playing through the games! That is of course an especially important plus when you are evaluating openings!

In addition, during the opening phase information from Livebook is also displayed.

So you can see at a glance what plausible continuations are available in the position on the board and you can make use of the statistical information displayed to get an impression of what are the best continuations.

Supposing you have loaded an exciting game and would like to attention to it to chess-playing friends of yours… The appropriate function for this is at your disposal below the graphic chess board.

A click on the small button highlighted in red in the screenshot starts the following dialog. The game is loaded into a separate board window and below that window you will find the following buttons:

“Copy URL” or “Copy Fen” copies the direct links for the complete game or the current position into the clipboard. This information can for example be sent directly via email.

Share” sends the game to Facebook, “Tweet” starts sending it via Twitter. In addition you will find the appropriate code for linking it to a website!
