Tactical Analysis

Answer

Question: I've set my default engine to be Fritz.

When I do tactical analysis on an open game it will correctly choose the Fritz engine. However, even after I remove the Stockfish engine from the list of active engines when I right click on a list of games and select tactical analysis it starts up Stockfish.

Why isn't it using the default kibitzer?

Answer: When you run the Tactical Analysis on an open game it will use the Default Kibitzer if that's what used last. However, that's not how batch analysis works. It uses the engine that the user last explicitly selected from the engines list, even if that engine is no longer in the list and the default kibitzer usage is ignored. Running Fritz by selecting it from the kibitzer list. Closing then game and then doing batch analysis - it works.
