Question: I cannot use the DGT board whenever I wish to play with it on the chess server. The board is totally new and works without reproach when I use it to play directly against the chess program. The link to the board appears to work but playing games with it does not.

Answer: The DGT board cannot be used with very quick playing times on the chess server. For it to work, the thinking time needs to be at least 10 minutes per game or more. Since the user has to execute on the board his opponent’s moves this results in a slight loss of time and attention. With longer thinking times this little disadvantage is more easily coped with.

Tip: The interface with the DGT board is available exclusively with the access via our chess programs. The free access software does not offer an interface to the DGT board.
