Question: I have bought and installed Fritz 16 and I am slightly disappointed. When I have played a game online – e.g. 5 min blitz – then I would have liked Fritz to play through the game and show me the major blunders, both mine and those of my opponent.
Answer: The program automatically saves your games played on the server on to your hard disk. Whenever you are using Fritz or ChessBase or the free Windows Client on Playchess, then your games are automatically saved in the following location:
C:/Users/[Name of your account in Windows]/Documents/ChessBase/MyInternetGames.cbh
Load the games list of that database into the database window:
Next to a number of the games you will find coloured highlighting, the so-called medals. A double click will load one of these highlighted games.
In the notation window you will now see that the program has automatically pasted into the game score variations, textual commentary and diagrams and that when you play through the game it immediately points out alternatives mistakes, etc..
In addition Fritz offers numerous analysis modes, e.g. the Infinite analysis mode with the help of which you can examine your games in targeted fashion for mistakes.
