We're hiring!

We are the world's largest chess news site, chessbase.com, and are looking for journalistic support. ChessBase sets the international standard for chess information. It is a chess software company for all professionals and amateurs, and at the same time the medium for the chess community. We operate our own news studio in our Hamburg office, with a team of 30 employees who give chess new impulses through high-quality software products.

As a chess blogger you would be right in the middle of it — studio, software development, marketing, sales, hotline and logistics. We run everything ourselves and need colleagues who think and act in an integrated manner in every position.

We are looking for a chess enthusiastic blogger for our English news site chessbase.com. Your tasks:

  • to look for exciting topics in the field of chess
  • to write English language articles on all topics in the field of chess
  • to introduce new ChessBase products, interview the authors
  • to look for suitable pictures, take them yourself or obtain the rights from colleagues
  • to publish independently using our CMS

  • Online affinity and technical understanding. You are comfortable in HTML and quickly feel at home with our CMS.

If this profile fits you, we are not looking for school graduation, vocational training or studies.

We offer:
