Despite being only the tenth most popular move against the Sicilian Najdorf, 6.Bd3 is not an easy move for Black. This fact was clearly demonstrated in the Bundesliga game between two Ukrainian players — Kirill Shevchenko and Andrei Volokitin. White built up a promising position, and after merely one subtle mistake, he got the chance to sacrifice his knight on f5, opening up lines against the black king.
