From 3 to 12 August the Polish Chess Federation will hold the National Championship for Women in Ostrów Wielkopolski (Ostrowo). Unlike the Open Tournament, the Women's Championship is played as a round robin tournament with ten participants. The opening ceremony took place in the New Synagogue in Ostrów Wielkopolski.
