6/12/2023 – The French Team Championship, also known as ‘Top 16’, was played on June 1-11 in Chartres, a small city not far from Paris. Before Sunday’s final round, three teams were tied at the top of the standings: Asnières, Bischwiller and Grasse. The final round saw Asnières and Bischwiller drawing their match, while Grasse lost to Chartres. 5/30/2018 – From May 26 to June 5 the French Team Championships are played in the town of Brest, in the west of France. The counting method of the championship is unusual: the winning team gets 3 points, a draw yields 2 points, and a loss is still rewarded with 1 point, just for showing up. Of course if you lose by default that's punished with 0 points. After four rounds, Bischwiller leads with 12 points, followed by Grasse Echecs with 11 points (three wins, one draw), and three teams with 10 points each.

6/4/2014 – It was a fitting conclusion to a great event held in Saint Quentin, France. In the penultimate round, not only was Clichy guaranteed the title, and Bischwiller the silver, but the two tail-enders condemned to play next year in the lower division and fight for their spot in the sun. Despite knowing the results, all the teams played the games in the final round to the bitter end.

6/1/2014 – It had almost seemed as if the reigning champion, Clichy, would whitewash the event as they successively beat top challengers Bischwiller and Mulhouse, all with top players on their front lines. Just when the danger seemed past, Evry, a team that has been struggling in the event, pulled off a huge 3-3 upset, including some very unexpected board results. The lesson is never drop your guard.

5/29/2014 – In Saint Quentin, France, eleven teams are fighting for the title of best team in France, bringing a roster of top grandmasters such as Vachier-Lagrave, Ivanchuk, Wojtaszek and many more. One thing that separates this event from others is that it runs for eleven days straight instead of spread out over the year. GM Alejandro Ramirez has annotated a couple of fantastic attacks.
