How to Save a game as a pgn file in Fritz 15

There are two methods to store a games of your s as a pgn file with Fritz 15.

Method 1

Open up the game list windows in Fritz 15 and load the database where the game of your choice is stored. Select the game in the list:

Right click the game with the mouse and go to „Output – E-Mail Selected Game”.

Your e-mail client will now open a new email with a pgn file of your games attached automatically:

Right click the attached pgn file with the mouse and store the file to your hard disk. Please keep in mind to what folder you have stored the file.

And that’s it! Now you are welcome to upload the game for the ChessBase Mega right through our web page

Method 2                   

Load the game in the board window of Fritz 15.

Switch from to the game list windows of Fritz either by means of the „Esc“ key on your keyboard or through the menu File – Open – Database.

When the game list windows shows up go to menu File – New:

That will open a Windows dialog box:

First of all, you must change the file format to “PGN”. Afterwards select the folder on your hard disk where you want to store the file and enter a file name, for instance „MyBestGame“.

Create the file with “OK”.

Use the “Esc” key in order to switch back to the board window.

Now go to menu File – Save – Save game.

Make sure that the player names etc. are entered correctly and save the game.

Done! Now you are welcome to upload the game for the ChessBase Mega right through our web page
