Question: I have bought ChessBase 15. I have realised that a new version of the player encyclopedia has not been included.
Answer: Yes, the player encyclopedia is not included in the download or on the DVD ROM. Most users avail themselves of option to access the up-to-date version of the player encyclopaedia directly via the server. This setting can be activated under Options – Encyclopedia where you can activate direct access to the player encyclopedia.
If at the same time you purchased the subscription for Mega 2019, you have available to you the option to download the player encyclopedia and to choose the setting for “local only”.
This is done via “Home – List player encyclopedia”.
In the dialog you will find the entry “Updating players”.
Thereupon the download can be carried out – so long as you have the subscription for the games.
