Question: I regularly use the Windows access software to play my blitz games on the chess server. It works very well, though when later checking through the notation for the games I do not find any analysis automatically inserted by the chess program.
Why does that not work?
Answer: The functions are available with server clients which form part of our chess programs.
The condition which is required is first and foremost that background analysis has been activated. This is achieved in playchess.com via File – Options – Games and here the feature “Background analysis of games played” should be activated by ticking the box.
In the freely available client which you can download at no cost from our site, this option does not exist. One reason for that consists of the fact, e.g., that no engine is provided with this software.
