Baden-Baden is also known in the chess world as the hometown of OSG Baden-Baden, the most successful German club in the 1990 and 2000s. In the same period we started the Chess Center Baden-Baden, to lay further foundations for establishing Baden-Baden as an important center of the European chess community.

The main event of our chess weeks will be the GRENKE Chess Classic Baden-Baden, a super-tournament which will give the the three top German players the chance to face three established world class players on their own soil.

As partners of the GRENKE Chess Classic Baden-Baden, we gained the Grenkeleasing AG, the German Chess Federation, and Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa.
