Dutch National Internet Championship on Playchess

19.6.2012 - For a fourth time the Dutch Chess Federation is staging this online championship on Playchess.com. Seven GMs are seeded, including reigning Dutch Internet Champion Loek van Wely, who will defend his title agaings GMs like Ivan Sokolov, Jan Smeets and Robin van Kampen. Four places are free for winners in the qualification tournaments from June 26–29. Watch it on Playchess.
 

Dutch National Internet Championship on Playchess

The Dutch Chess Federation will host the 2012 Dutch Internet Championship on Playchess. Seven grandmasters will play in what is already the fourth national Dutch Internet Championship. Reigning Dutch Internet Champion Loek van Wely will defend his title. Other participants include Ivan Sokolov, Jan Smeets and Robin van Kampen. Ten players have earned a spot in the finals based on their rating, while two other players are qualified on the basis of their ‘masterpoints’ (masterpoints are earned in the Dutch two weekly Internet tournaments). These 12 players are all directly qualified for the finals on June 30.

Four other players will qualify in the qualifying tournaments held from June 26 to June 29. The qualifying tournaments are open to all Dutch players.

The tournament will be played in tournament room 1 of the Royal Dutch Chess Federation on Playchess.
