Testing chess players – for what?

by ChessBase
6/13/2009 – Chess players have outstanding abilities in things like... well, playing chess. And anything else? Economists at the University of Kassel (Germany) want to find out and invite you to join a simple online experiment. All you have to do is choose a number between 0 and 100, as explained in the test. You can win ChessBase vouchers worth €350. Deadline: June 28th 2009.

Winning starts with what you know
The new version 18 offers completely new possibilities for chess training and analysis: playing style analysis, search for strategic themes, access to 6 billion Lichess games, player preparation by matching Lichess games, download Chess.com games with built-in API, built-in cloud engine and much more.

Thank you for participating in our survey! We are conducting a little contest:

Your task is easy: we just want you to give us a number between 0 and 100 inclusively. The number need not be an integer. You have won if your number is closest to 2/3 of the average of the numbers given by all participants.

(Example: If there are only four players participating and their chosen numbers are 11.9; 23.45; 40 and 68.65, the average of the numbers is 36 and 2/3 of the average is 24. Here, the second player would have won.)

The winner gets a voucher for Chessbase-products worth 200 €, the 2nd and 3rd place will be a voucher worth 100 € and 50 €, respectively.
