On Saturday the team of Köln Porz (Cologne, to the English-speaking world), with Lutz, Van Wely, Sokolov, Beliavsky and Graf, Gurevich, Vaganian and van den Doel beat Werder Bremen, with Almira Skripchenko on board seven, by 6:2 points. Baden-Oos, with Anand, Svidler, and Shirov, had a bye, and on Sunday both teams went into the final round breathing fire. Here is how they did:
