The rounds start at 13:00h and will be covered on the Playchess.com server – with Radio ChessBase bringing periodic audio feed directly from the tournament hall. The tournament will be over 12 rounds, with a rest day on March 29th.

After two rounds there were already a number of upsets. Top seed Natalia Zhukova of Ukraine was defeated by her very talented 14-year-old compatriot Anna Muzychuk. Sixth seed Ekateryna Kowalevskaya lost to Dutch player Tea Bosboom-Lanchava. Number one Pia Cramling did not get more than a draw against number 30 Tatiana Stepovaia. In the German duel between Elisabeth Pähtz and Jessica Nill the former needed a lot of time to get out of a worse position and win the game. The top six games are being commented live on Radio ChessBase by GM Klaus Bischoff and Natalia Kiseleva. You can find all the information, games and results in the links below.
